9/18/2020 - Attention EVERYONE, please wear a mask in public, that includes all of the college students and bar patrons as you are not immune. We have seen a major rise in cases in Cass County and other counties in ND which can affect the governor's decision to keep us in the green or move us to the yellow status. WE NEED TO STAY IN THE GREEN! Additional restrictions will need to be put in place for events if we move to the yellow status that will make the Expo very difficult to pull off, or at least very inconvenient for attendees. For all wondering, the Face Coverings Required rule for all involved over the age of 5 is a no exceptions rule. This is a private ticketed event where the purchase of the ticket is seen as an agreement to the COVID-19 reaction terms. Please keep that in mind, but we will have a mask vendor onsite if you need a high-quality reusable mask. Stay safe everyone and I am looking forward to seeing you all in a week!
9/14/2020 - We have seen a spike on cases and some positives have been identified at local school districts as well. Please note that while the state remains in the green, this event will continue as planned. The precautions listed below will still be implemented with zero exceptions.
This is a general outline of the items we are planning to have in place for the opening of the Fargo Exotic Pet Expo 2020. This is subject to change at a moment's notice based on recommendations by the State of ND Department of Health.
Questions or concerns, please direct them to the email below:
We are currently monitoring changes in the ND Smart Restart and COVID-19 Guidelines from the State of ND Department of Health to bring the Fargo Exotic Pet Expo (FEPE) to you this fall on September 26th 2020! As of right now, we could open up FEPE as long as standard guidelines are being met. To meet these guidelines will require additional work and supplies by the staff of the event, some restrictions on activities at the vendor tables and even some personal considerations on the attendee side. If these are unable to be met, the event will not be able to be held, so let's all work together to make this a great year!
I hope we have all been practicing the safety guidelines presented by the state of ND regarding sanitizer, handwashing, mask use and social distancing when going to stores, restaurants and other public places. We have a few more months to continue practicing these items so we are all in good form for the Expo. Many of these items will be required in order for us to hold the Expo so while you may have a personal objection to a specific item, we will still be encouraging the use of these precautions for the safety of everyone involved.
We may potentially make changes to the overall layout of the Expo to facilitate additional attendee walking space. This will restrict the space behind vendor tables, but overall will allow the practicing of social distancing to occur easier. We may need to limit the number of vendors to properly space the vendors from each other. As a vendor if you are interested in the Expo, it will be beneficial to complete your table registration ASAP to avoid running out of space. We will need to limit the handling of product/animals or add guidelines for safe handling to prevent potential virus exposure via a product or animal. While this virus will not infect our favorite animals, they can potentially carry the virus via touch. Proper sanitization oppotunities will be able to make this more lenient.
Notice: We reserve the right to cancel this Expo at any time if the State of ND guidelines change to be more restrictive, prohibiting an Expo like the Fargo Exotic Pet Expo. No advance tickets will be sold to prevent the mess of processing refunds for attendees. Vendors will have the option of a refund or applying their table fee toward the FEPE 2021. Anyone failing to abide by the guidelines presented may be asked to leave the Expo.
